Fried Rice: What do I need?
For this recipe, all you need is your Chef’s hat and:
*2/3 cups of chopped carrots (better with baby carrots)
* 4 cups of water
* Two cups of enriched white rice
* 1/2 cup of frozen green peas
* A couple of eggs (two)
* Soy sauce to taste
* Also, two spoons of vegetable oil
* Sesame oil, to taste (this one is optional)
Let’s get to work
The preparation process usually takes fifteen minutes, and it takes about thirty minutes to cook it.
First, get a saucepan and combine rice and water until it boils. Reduce the heat and then cover it. After that, you ought to simmer it for about twenty minutes. Using another, but preferably, smaller saucepan, boil carrots in water for about three to five minutes. Then drop peas into the boiling water, and then drain it.
Next step is heating wok over high heat, then pour in oil and stir in carrots and peas; cook it for about thirty seconds. Crack in the eggs, then stir it very quickly to scramble the eggs with vegetables. After that, stir in the cooked rice and shake in soy sauce, then toss rice to coat. Finally, drizzle with sesame oil, and toss again.
